Ngiyabonga Kakhulu (thank you) for a successful event
Tuesday, October 13th, 2009The October 4th fundraising concert for the Bophelong Hospice was a huge success and we, at Beaded Hope, just want to say ngiyabonga kakhula.
Or, translated from Zulu,
thank you very much,
thank you greatly,
thank you loudly,
thank you a hundred times.
No matter how you translate it the sentiment is the same. Thank you for being a part of Beaded Hope and helping us bless the community of Mamelodi, South Africa.
Songs & Sounds From South Africa 2009
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009To me, witnessing the music of South Africa is one of the most moving experiences I’ve ever had. For South Africans music is an integral (perhaps even innate) part of their culture and their life. When South Africans gather to sing, whether it be in celebration or sorrow, it is nothing short of inspirational. The music rises from their soul engulfing them and everyone around them.
Hospice of Cincinnati is organizing the 3rd annual fundraising concert for the Bophelong Hospice in Mamelodi, South Africa and Beaded Hope is excited, once again, to be a part of this great event.
As in past years, handcrafted items created by the ladies of Beaded Hope can be picked up before or after the concert.
This year we have lots of great items such as:
- beaded jewelry (of course!)
- 2 new private label tee shirts that will be seen for the first time at the concert
- lots of gift items ranging from key rings to note cards to photography
- Christmas gifts for you early shoppers (we even have some new Christmas ornament designs this year)
- and much more.
So mark your calendar for Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 6:00pm at Crossroads, Oakley. And be sure to stop by and visit us!
